Establishing the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust in 1992, Sea Life Surveys is still actively conducting a research programme focused on the Minke whale and contributing directly to marine conservation.
June/July2012
Acuatours basking shark trip in Scotland is a pioneering venture partnering with us, Sea Life Surveys. Acuatours remain the only company to offer a dedicated week long trip to photograph basking sharks anywhere in the UK. The basking shark is the worlds second largest shark, behind only the enormous whale shark, and even then, some of our UK sharks can be bigger than juvenile whale sharks. Who would have thought that we would have access to some of the planets largest marine animals on our doorstep. This tour is the only dedicated basking shark photography trip in the UK, and we have some of the best sighting rates anywhere in the country.

"Sea Life Surveys was my sole reason for travelling to Mull and Tobermory. Having been a participant in many expeditions and wildlife excursions over the years, I can undoubtedly say that Sea Life Surveys stands out head and shoulders above the rest. The professionalism, friendliness, knowledge and safety aspect of all staff members is first class. You should feel proud in the excellent service you provide. I shall certainly be recommending you to friends, colleagues and family. I hope to return here in the future to experience more of this beautiful area and amazing wildlife.
